Projects

As discussed at our February 2, 2019 meeting, there is a need for mesh coverage throughout the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding area. A 5 GHz backbone with 2.4 GHz sector nodess could be a solution. Below are link calculations for such a network. The 5 GHz network backbone could run from Apex Peak, with an Ubiquiti Rocket M5 and a 30 dbi dish, Ubiquiti Rocket M2 and a 90 degree sector antenna; Red Mountain, with two Ubiquiti Rocket M5s and 30 dbi dishs, two Ubiquiti Rocket M2s and 90 degree sector antennas; and Potosi Mountain, with an Ubiquiti Rocket M5 and a 30 dbi dish, Ubiquiti Rocket M2 and a120 degree sector antenna.
